Workshop by Steven Jankowski

Are you interested in supplementing your Japanese skills? Are you a visual or kinetic learner? Are you shy, or get nervous and have trouble speaking Japanese to the people around you? Do you often pantomime what you’re trying to say? Are you hard of hearing, or interact with those who are? Do you teach at a special support school?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these, then learning Shuwa is for you! In this session, you’ll learn the basics of Japanese Sign Language: how to sign the Japanese syllabary, learn some essential daily signs and vocabulary, as well as some useful signs for the classroom. Stick around after the main video to find out how to do a basic self-introduction, as well.
