Iki is the real deal. Located just off the north-western tip of Kyushuu, Iki is a semi-tropical paradise that affords you a first-hand experience of rural Japan while keeping you within arms reach of the amenities of the nearby cities. The people are both hard-working and relaxed, the scenery  is gorgeous, and the food is outstanding. Monkey Rock (Saruiwa / 猿岩)

Iki Island is a remote island in Nagasaki Prefecture. The island can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by plane from Nagasaki Airport and in approximately 60 minutes by high-speed boat from Hakata Port in Fukuoka Prefecture. It is popular because it is easily accessible from Kyushu and because you can visit amazing sightseeing spots!

Kojima Shrine (Kojima Jinja / 小島神社)

Iki Island has many beautiful, white sandy beaches. It also has over 2,000 years of history. This rich legacy includes ancient Shinto Shrines and Buddhist temples, ancient burial mounds (kofun), as well as more recent history such as former WWII military ruins. There are many beautiful photogenic spots with superb views that will take your breath away. Last but not least, Iki Island has a variety of delicious seafood, beef, and locally-produced alcohol to enjoy.
