LGBTQ2S Discord Server

  • Looking to connect with other LGBTQ+ JETs across Japan? The LGBTQ2S JET Discord server is a peer-led, safe, and supportive online community for queer JETs and ALTs. Founded by and for LGBTQ+ educators, this active server has been running for over four years as of 2025 and offers a space to share experiences, find support, and build friendships.
  • The server is run by a volunteer moderator team elected by its members and follows a clear code of conduct designed to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment. While some topics like health and self-care are discussed in designated, access-restricted channels, the server is carefully moderated to ensure safety and comfort for all members.

Stonewall Japan

  • Stonewall Japan is a community organization serving the international Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and other sexual and gender minority people (LGBTQIA+) in Japan and allies of every gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality or religion

Nagasaki Rainbow ALTs

  • This Facebook group is for LGBTQ+ members of Kyushu, but specifically Nagasaki Prefecture.
  • This is a PRIVATE group, meaning nobody will be able to see that you join or are active on this page. This is for the safety and privacy of our community.
  • It is brand new as of 2021, but we have already run some successful online Zoom hangouts and are hoping to arrange meet-ups and activities in person soon! We share updated information and news articles pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community in Japan.

  • The Fukuoka Rainbow Parade has been held every year since November 2014. It’s low-key, friendly, and a lot of fun! The website is mostly in Japanese, but there is some English.
