The school year is coming to an end very soon! That means: teacher transfers and goodbye/welcome parties. Please be aware that it can be a tough and busy time for many. You don’t have to attend (or drink at) all of these parties, but they can be wonderful opportunities for furthering relationships with departing, old, and new colleagues.

2018 (3)

Due to the Emperor’s abdication, Golden Week is a consecutive 10-day holiday this year. If you haven’t made plans already, we recommend doing it ASAP! Traveling around Japan during GW can be expensive, but this is also a good time to take that vacation you’ve been thinking about. The 10-day holiday is from April 27th to May 6th.

museum of history and culture

The Nagasaki Museum of Culture and History has some cool events in March! On March 2nd, join a Hinamatsuri tea ceremony or go on a tour and learn about World Heritage Sites! Applications to apply for the tour are still open. The museum will hold a spring concert on March 3rd by the Nagasaki Junior. And until March 17, the museum is holding a special exhibition about Korean embassies in Japan. If you are interested in any of these events, please email and send inquiries directly to the museum.
